The Cypria Soya features a hull colored in the corporate deep indigo blue, combined with "Akane-iro" (madder red), inspired by the vivid sunrises and sunsets created by Hokkaido's clear air and sun. Designed with the core themes of "a journey of the heart" and "a journey to awaken to the gentleness of nature," this vessel offers a truly comfortable space.

Named after the "God of the North Wind" in Greek mythology, Boreas Soya embodies the unique "north wind" that shapes the sternness, resilience, and vastness of the Soya region's nature.

The Okushiri calanthe is a lovely light purple flower that grows on Okushiri Island. Registered on the Red List, this plant belongs to the Orchidaceae family, and its flower symbolizes sincerity.
Our ferry was named after the scientific name of this flower, Calanthe.
It is the second of our ferries to take the scientific name of an island flower, following the Cypria Soya.
The name Calanthe derives from the two Greek words 'kalos' (beautiful) and 'anthos' (flower), which describe the flower's appearance.
The Calanthe Okushiri has entered into service and welcomes you sincerely and safely to the beautiful island of Okushiri, where this magical flower blooms.

This is the third ferry in the Shimanohana series, following the Cypria Soya and Calanthe Okushiri.
The name of the ship is derived from the Spanish word for the Rishiri poppy, a rare yellow flower endemic to Rishiri Island.
The flower symbolizes compassion and consideration. This is the spirit in which the Amapola Soya carries people around the islands.
