      Select the type of pass you want and click the "Purchase" button. You need to sign in or register as a new WILLER member (free). The payment is only acceptable with a credit card.

      Log in to My Page and go to "Bus Pass Management" to book a bus with Japan Bus Pass. Once a booking is complete, a reservation confirmation email that includes all necessary information will be sent to you.

      With our overnight buses, you can sleep while traveling to your destination and you can make the most out of your day. If you have the image of highway buses as narrow uncomfortable seats, and exhausting, try WILLER EXPRESS. You will find very comfortable seats for you to travel in.

      Choose any dates you want within two months and usage dates do not have to be consecutive. Japan Bus Pass can be purchased online from Japan or from overseas, and booking is available from our website.

      The usage dates for Jpan Bus Pass do not have to be consecutive, such as April 5, 6, and 7. It can be April 5, 25, and May 15 if it is within two months from the purchase date. Please note that there are blackout dates. Also, you don't even need to pick up any ticket or check in before boarding the bus. Book from our website and once it is complete, all you need to do is to go to the boarding place on the departure date.

      This seat type comes equipped with a canopy to cover your face for extra privacy while sleeping. It is very popular among young Japanese women. Legs can be comfortably stretched under the seat in front. Some buses with this seat type even offer restrooms on board for maximum comfort.

      4 seats in a row are a standard seat type in Japan. Since WILLER offers various companies' buses, the actual seat type may be different from the photo. (Hiroshima - Osaka/Kyoto Daytime Bus Pass is not available for this seat type.)

  • Which bus routes are available with Japan Bus Pass?

    All routes operated by WILLER EXPRESS or STAR EXPRESS are available with Bus Pass. See the list of the available routes on this page or search a bus on the Bus Pass search page.

  • If I take an overnight bus ride, is it counted as 2 days?

    The overnight bus ride is counted as 1 day only. For instance, if you take a bus on Jan 1 evening and arrive on Jan 2 morning, it is counted as the bus on Jan 1st.

  • Is there anything I need to show at the pick-up location?

    At the pick-up location, please show the bus driver your reservation confirmation email and your passport for boarding.

  • If I have a Japan Bus Pass, can I take a bus without reservation?

    You must make online reservations with Japan Bus Pass in advance. Otherwise, please pay for the new ticket on the spot.

  • Am I eligible for purchasing a Japan Bus Pass?

    Japan Bus Pass can be used by all foreigners, regardless of visa or length of stay. People with foreign passport can purchase Japan Bus Pass even after arriving in Japan. We may ask you to show passport.

  • The Bus Pass is a ticketless service.
  • Reservations using Japan Bus Pass can only be made from our website. Unlike normal reservations, booking by phone or email is not accepted.
  • WILLER are points not applicable for rides using Japan Bus Pass.
  • One Japan Bus Pass for each passenger. One passenger may buy multiple passes only if the planned routes for all members traveling are identical. The purchaser of the multiple passes must travel at all times. If plans differ between members of a group, each member must purchase and book as an individual passenger.
  • Buses scheduled to depart from12:00 am (24:00) to 3:00 (27:00) am are counted as buses that depart on the previous day.
    Example:
    The overnight bus departing between 12:00 am (24:00) to 3:00 am (27:00) on Monday counts as a Sunday departure.
  • Up to one overnight bus per day.
  • Two daytime buses can be booked on the same day.
  • Total of three buses can be booked per day. Be sure to be have at least one hour between the arrival of the current bus and the departure of the next bus.
  • Only one booking for a particular route can be made on the same day (the opposite direction is possible.)

  • Reservations are open until the reservation deadline. The reservation deadline depends on the schedule of each bus. Usually, it is 4-5 hours prior to the departure time of the first boarding place.
