PATTISERIE CAFÉ KATASHIMA

This special menu was curated by Akira Katashima (left: Katashima Fukuchiyama store) and Masanori Maki (right: Katashima Tanba store).

PATTISERIE CAFÉ KATASHIMA

Since its founding in 1970, patisserie cafe Katashima has sunk its roots into the region, and works to spread the appeal of food, including that of Western confectionery.

Currently, with the addition of our sister site Restaurant La Riviere, we operate five restaurants in the Kitakinki area. In recent years, we have focused on producing food that makes use of the excellent local ingredients and resources.

This latest menu is themed on the Mt. Oi oni extermination legends. The first course includes a hearty pastry horn shaped like an oni’s club, potage flavored with unrefined sake, and a salad of local vegetables. For the second course, enjoy desserts that evoke Sakata Kintoki, who took part in the battles with the oni, and Mt. Oe, where the legend is set.
Be sure to enjoy the incredibly beautiful, incredibly fun “Oni Train Journey” you can only experience on the Tango Kuromatsu train.
