Tango AKA-MATSU Train
The sightseeing train is based on the theme of "Pine tree", the symbol of Amanohashidate. The train connects Amanohashidate, one of the Three views of Japan and Nishimaizuru.
It takes you to the beautiful Nagu Coast and Yuragawa Bridge. You can see the superb view of sea while traveling.
Various seat types such as sofa seats and counter seats inside the train with wooden interiors so that you can enjoy the scenery on board while feeling relaxed.
The sightseeing trip can be enjoyed with basic fare and additional boarding ticket (550yen).
Eiji Mitooka, the Japanese industrial designer, designed the AKA-MATSU Train.
Eiji Mitooka
Eiji Mitooka born 1947 in Okayama Prefecture is a Japanese industrial designer. JR Kyushu's station and train he designed appeared in the public eye. He won the Brunel Award of United Kingdoms, and many of Japanese awards.
You can read picture books and sightseeing magazines in the train.

How to use
An additional boarding ticket (550yen) is required to get on AKA-MATSU Train.
Check the all routes fare list (PDF) to see each basic fare.
Go to the booking page and purchase a boarding ticket (550yen) online.
*All kinds of railway pass including JR-WEST All Area Pass, Kansai WIDE Area Pass, Kansai-Hokuriku Area Pass, Sanyo-San'in Area Pass, Kansai-Hiroshima Area Pass, Sanyo-San'in Northern Kyushu Pass, are valid only for the route fare. A boarding ticket (550 yen), which can be reserved from this page, is required additionally to board AKA-MATSU train.
*Infants below 1 and children from 1 to 6 who does not occupy a seat does not have to purchase a boarding ticket.
Whoever occupies a seat is required to purchase a boarding ticket in addition to the basic fare.
*Non-reserved seats. Take a seat you like on a first-come-first-served basis.
