Behind the Scenes of "ReBorn" by the Project Team

Our mission was to create a seat that business travelers—who naturally consider planes and bullet trains—would actively choose. Modern professionals are overwhelmed with information and deeply fatigued. To offer them a true escape, we discarded the traditional concept of a bus and focused entirely on creating the ultimate rest environment.

Through endless trial and error, we perfected every detail: an ultra-thin shell partition to maximize seat width, a seamless electric reclining system, an ergonomically optimized angle for deep sleep, and the ideal cushion firmness.

We named it "ReBorn" so that passengers who board exhausted can experience genuine rest and step off feeling completely renewed. Today, it has grown into one of our most beloved and iconic seats.

The Story Behind the Launch of "IKEBUS"

Launched on November 27, 2019, in partnership with Toshima City, "IKEBUS" operates on two routes, circling Ikebukuro to connect key hubs, parks, and shopping districts.

Created by master railway designer Eiji Mitooka, this unique vehicle embodies a deep commitment to people and the environment. It ensures inclusive travel with a rear electric wheelchair lift and protects the planet as a zero-emission electric vehicle. In times of disaster, it also serves the community as an emergency power hub capable of charging around 2,500 smartphones.

Filled with charm, "IKEBUS" will keep driving forward, bringing energy and smiles to the city.

How the Creators Brought Our Original Seats to Life

It started with a simple, real concern from our female staff: "I don't want anyone to see my face when I'm sleeping or without makeup." To solve this, the "Relax" project was born.

The search for privacy led the team to explore everything from curtains to hair salons, but safety issues kept holding them back. The breakthrough finally came from an unexpected place: a stroller. This was it. The idea was immediately brought to life as the Relax canopy.

Despite initial skepticism and clashes with the seat manufacturer, the massive success of the Relax seat changed everything. Impressed by the results, they became our long-term partner, joining WILLER to redefine travel comfort ever since.
