Traveling by Plane to Hokkaido

To get to Hokkaido, first take a flight from Tokyo (Haneda or Narita) or Osaka (Itami or Kansai). Many direct flights run every day. New Chitose Airport is the main gateway, but if you already know where you want to go, flying directly into a local airport near your destination is the best route.
