Shiretoko Five Lakes

  • There are 2 hiking courses at Shiretoko Five Lakes located in the world heritage area "Shiretoko".

One of them is an 800 meter long, wooden elevated boardwalk. You can explore in all seasons safely for free. Enjoy views of the lake, the Sea of Okhotsk and the surrounding mountains.

Another is 3km of regular nature trails that lead around the picturesque five lakes and take about 90 minutes to walk on your own.

Find beautiful nature and wild animals just right before your eyes.

It is also possible to hike here during snow season from Jan to early March. It takes around 3 hours to hike in snow. If you are confident in your physical strength, it is recommendable!
